Emily VanCamp

Emily Irene VanCamp is a Canadian actress who has been praised for her lead roles on a number of TV shows, and also for her powerful acting in films. Both Canadian and American Television are avid fans of Emily Irene VanCamp. Emily began acting at 12 after visiting her older sister Katie on one of Katie's movies. When she discovered that acting was a love, she began to learn how to act as well as attend auditions. Her first audition was for commercials and was soon the role of a child actor on the Canadian TV horror series Are You Scared of Darkness? One scene in which she was seen without saying even a single word. At the age of 15years old, Emily had her biggest breakthrough when she was made a regular of the WB Television program Glory Days. Although the show was canceled after nine episodes Emily's performance attracted the attention of Dawson's Creek writer Greg Berlanti who enlisted her on his TV show Everwood. A ballet dancer as well as photographer, Emily was previously ranked in Teen as one of the best actresses under the age of 20. Emily was listed as at number 51 on Maxim's Hot 100 list of 2014.
