Shortly thereafter thousands of students across the world took part in her #FridaysforFuture protests, skipping class on Fridays in protest of the effects of climate change. Climate activists across the world coordinated this Global Strike for Climate. This Global Climate Strike was an incredible success. More than 1.6 million people participated in 125 countries.
